Agnes Scott College takes its commitment to community and civic engagement seriously. To help students become informed citizens and effective leaders, Agnes Scott created Scotties Vote, a nonpartisan campus engagement program. Scotties Vote collaborates with community partners to educate students about civic participation and prepare them for a lifetime of democratic engagement.
Fostering a culture of engagement requires equipping students with resources to participate. To guide young voters through election processes, Agnes Scott relies on TurboVote to streamline campus voter registration assistance and break down voting barriers.
Blayne McDonald, Agnes Scott’s Assistant Director for Service-Learning and Civic Engagement, shared how TurboVote has powered campus participation in recent elections. McDonald pointed to features like Sample Ballot Customizations, which connect TurboVote users with custom voting guidance and help voters understand their ballot.
“I would highly recommend using Sample Ballot Customizations because they allow you to provide information and resources for elections in one place, customized for your students.” -- Blayne McDonald
