Democracy Works is expanding its partnership with Anthropic to help make voting information more accessible to users of Claude, Anthropic’s AI assistant, ahead of the 2026 US midterm elections.
As announced by Anthropic on October 14, Claude will begin incorporating election information from Democracy Works into its responses for users in the United States later this month. When users ask where to vote or what ID to bring to their polling place, Claude will provide location-specific answers directly in the conversation. These responses will use up-to-date election information that Democracy Works collects, verifies, and standardizes from state and local election offices.
The new integration builds on an existing feature announced earlier this year. When users ask about voter registration, polling places, or election dates, Claude will continue to display a banner linking to TurboVote, Democracy Works’s nonpartisan voter engagement platform.
Democracy Works works with election officials and technology platforms to help voters access accurate, authoritative information about when, where, and how to vote. We are proud to continue working with Anthropic to make voting information more accessible this fall.
