Democracy Works is partnering with TikTok on their US Elections Center for the 2026 midterm elections, helping connect voters with accurate, authoritative election information from official election sources.
Since 2024, TikTok's Elections Center has used our Elections API to provide voters with state-specific registration links, polling place lookup, ballot summaries, early voting information, and more. The Elections Center also includes voter identification requirements, giving voters a quick, in-app answer to what they'll need to bring on Election Day.
Our election data covers federal, state, county, municipal, and school board elections serving communities of more than 5,000 people. We partner with state and local election administrators across the country to collect and maintain the most up-to-date information from official sources. We also continuously monitor changes to election information and work directly with election officials to help ensure that the information voters receive reflects the latest available guidance.
According to Pew Research, 43% of adults under 30 regularly get news from TikTok, up from just 9% in 2020 — making it one of the fastest-growing sources of information for young people in the country. As more voters, especially younger voters, turn to social media platforms like TikTok to get informed about the 2026 midterms, accurate information from trusted sources matters more than ever. We are excited to continue our partnership with TikTok to make authoritative election information widely accessible to voters in their Elections Center.
