ALERT: We don't grade voters

Voters have reached out to us about two campaigns giving out "voter report cards" with incorrect information. Because these report cards have incomplete or missing attributions, voters have reached out to Democracy Works after mistakenly attributing them to us.

The first campaign sends both postcards and text messages. We were able to trace this campaign to The Voting Project (thevotingproject.us), which is running primarily in Wisconsin and Michigan. We've reached out to ask that they label these messages with contact information so voters can find them, as searching for “the voting project” leads to our own Voting Information Project.

The second is a text-messaging campaign that links to a site with a “Voter Grade" and a link to our own GetToThePolls.com. We were able to trace this campaign to Link2Tek LLC, on behalf of Forward Majority. We've reached out to them to explain that some of their report cards lack a "paid for by" attribution and asked them to add one.

You should know: Democracy Works does not send unsolicited text messages, emails, or mailings. We only contact voters who have subscribed to one of our services. We're proud of our work and the quality of our information, and don’t send anything out without our name on it.
