Director of Government Outreach
As the Democracy Works Director of Government Outreach, Amy works primarily with election officials and administrators to find ways technology can make their jobs easier. She spent four years with the Pew Charitable Trusts, where she managed the Voting Information Project (VIP), guided national research projects, and forged relationships throughout the corporate and nonprofit sector. Most recently, she co-founded and served as the Director of Operations for the Center for Election Innovation & Research (CEIR). The founding member of the Democracy Works Washington, DC office, Amy works with the Election Technology Cooperative, building and strengthening relationships with state and local election officials, and encouraging adoption of online voter registration APIs. Never afraid to pitch in, Amy is a member of the DC Snow Team, which volunteers to shovel snowy sidewalks for the elderly and infirm across the District.
